Nightscape

Sometimes if I want to come up with something different, I find it helps to go out at a different time of day. Since I have to stay up very late to watch Craig Ferguson each night, it is obvious that I won't be getting up early in the mornings. So I went for a walk just after sunset, and I stayed out until after dark. This is one of the photographs I found. It's hard to characterize this image, but it is a landscape. Not like a traditional natural landscape, but we are surrounded by scenes like this everywhere, so sometimes I like to do the landscapes of the man-made world.

This must be a place for lovers because there are two hearts, side by side, on the pavement. They glow under the streetlight and send love messages to each other until the sun comes up and takes them away to a more private place. If the weather is just right, they'll return to the same spot and once again declare their love publicly. Theirs is a nighttime romance

Ken- So you have" to stay up and watch Craig??? We feel the same way! Did you go, or consider going, to a show taping while you were in LA? -Dean

Hi Dean! Been meaning to write you. You have some astounding new stuff on your blog. I now have double vision from TRYING to free-view all the 3D stuff on your site! We did get to see a taping about 3 years ago, which was amazing. He is absolutely the funniest guy on TV! The last two years, we were in LA for Christmas, and the show is usually dark for Christmas week. Boo hoo...

I'm sorry that I forgot to comment on the two hearts in the pavement! Wow, nicely seen. And even better are your very poetic comments. Just lovely - I love the feeling of what you have said. Thank you.
