For the last several weeks, we have had the foundation sitting there with nothing going on. Today two carpenters arrived and began bolting the plates on to the foundation, and then installing the floor joists. Suddenly it feels as if we are really going to HAVE a new room! So this is really fun, and I am enjoying talking to the carpenters and asking questions about what they were doing. I also am enjoying the aroma of fresh wood.

If you talk too much and ask too many questions, your room will not be complete until Winter! :-)

I just had to comment to say HA HA on Joan's comment. Beware: Maybe curiosity kills cats AND slows down construction. (ha ha) But this is SO EXCITING! I can't believe how real it's all becoming! I wonder how far (or finished?) it might be by the time I get there! xo -Amy
