I looked out our bedroom window and down at the Japanese maple. What I noticed first was the black craggy branch in the left center seen against the fallen leaves. I hadn't noticed that before. Then I noticed all the silvery branches that we can see because all the leaves are all gone. I love the contrast with the silvery branches and the black craggy branch.

Your tree of many wonders! The outer silvery branches are so delicate in this photo, it is a wonder they support so many leaves.
