Now that the weather is warmer, we are sitting on the front porch more often, for lunch or for reading. The windows are open and Grace sits in the window, on the other side of the screen. She wants to join us out there, and so she gently mews while sitting in the window. It is no use, our cats do not go outdoors. Ever. They are indoor cats and it is safer and healthier that they stay indoors. She also likes to lie down by the back storm door window and look out at the world.

I love the visual of the screen in this photo. It seems to give the impression that this could be a painting and the ‘checkered’ pattern of the screen is the texture of the canvass showing.

You could have a "Catio" built for Grace..... :)
or she might enjoy a cat window hammock :)
Grace does not look happy that you are out enjoying your beautiful porch and she is not.

When I first looked at this photo, I thought it looked like snow :-) Then I read your blog. Grace looks so sad in this photo. But that's because you and Kathy are outside and she is stuck inside. But so much safer! betsey
