The Charging Station
After three days of no power, I was able to borrow a generator from a friend whose power had been restored. We invited our neighbor over for hot tea and some fresh cookies and told her about the generator. So she brought some electronics that needed charging - her parent's cell phone, her cell phone, her sister's cell phone, an iPad, and her Kindle which she uses to read manuscripts as part of her work, and I was charging a couple of laptops as well. At first glance, this setup looks like something that would never pass inspection from the building inspector, but it is completely safe,I promise... :-)

This looks almost as safe as shooting photos from your moving car while driving. You will never get a job as a safety inspector for UL.
OMG! Scary. Did the generator survive?

Photodude! Your comment made me laugh out loud! Reminded me of a friend who used to work on his own houses - he refurbed a few, and I didn't like the way he did stuff - he even suggested that we install a gas line of soft copper for the gas clothes dryer in our years ago! He ended up being a building inspector in Fresno, and he was describing some of his theories, and the older building inspector he was training with said: "Man, I bet you were a real outlaw!"
Sam got a charge out of seeing Ken keeping up on current events. He can't resist a good pun or several-another terminallyl revolting development.
Glad to see you're back on the loop.
