After I photographed the boats yesterday, I continued on to the beach. It was a bit foggy out and I was hoping for something nice at the water. I stopped when I saw this. What got my attention were the two predominately different colors - a faint blue color for the water and sky, and the warm colors of the sand and the beach. It is a subtle image and that's not a bad thing.

A wonderful photograph. Love the detail of the birds at the shoreline, the sparsity of the plants, the blue-gray cover over the water. It's easy to take a great picture on a sunny day. It takes honed skill to make a gray day look beautiful.
