Fog Week VI

I'm continuing to show you my fog photographs from Morgan Park. I have been in Morgan Park so many times, but on this day I stopped to read the bronze plaque that you pass by to get to the beach.  The park was given to the citizens of Glen Cove and Locust Valley by James Pierpont Morgan, Jr. in memory of his wife, Jane Norton Morgan, in 1932.  Here is this wonderful old tree, leaning to the west, with its twisted branches, and behind it are two beach pavilions made of brick, with slate roofs.  Here is the memorial plaque to Jane Norton Morgan.

Isn’t it wonderful to read that a man donated land for a park in honor of his wife. Extraordinary. Betsey
