Moonset

It was first quarter moon two nights ago.  So I used one of my astronomy programs to figure out when the moon would be near the horizon.  So at 1 AM I went down to the harbor with a couple of my telephoto lenses and photographed the moon as it was setting over Port Washington.  I guess the best part of this is the moonlight reflecting on the water.

This is a great shot of the moon. Definitely love the way the light shines on the water. The village across the harbor looks like it doesn't sleep at night! Trace

Beautiful shot of the moon shining on the water. Your determination to provide us with different photos is amazing. You won't find me out at 1:00 AM. I am tucked in my bed asleep. I like Trace's comment that the village does not sleep at night.

What is that bright white bowl in the sky? I like the reflection of the moon on the water and the light on the town. Betsey
