Facetime with California

We decided to do a Facetime with Amy and Liz and Gus and Vivian this afternoon!  It was so nice to have a conversation in real life and and to see Vivian in real time.  She was good for a while, but then it was her nap time and she was tired, so I didn't get a smile from her.  But everyone else looks great, don't you think?  One of the reasons we wanted to chat with them was that we have decided to cancel our JetBlue flight reservations for Christmas.  The Covid infection rate is climbing through the roof in California and we think it is just a risk we don't want to take.  But we were SO looking forward to the trip!

Great family photo, even if Vivian was not smiling. She was smiling on Facebook and Instagram with Liz. :-) You have been going to California for so many Christmas celebrations and I know it must be heart breaking, but the smart thing to do. Numbers are going to climb all over the country with people flying home for Thanksgiving and going through crowded airports. You can FaceTime every week or every day.

This is a wonderful photo! Vivian has her own mind about getting her picture taken. I love the loving expressions on the faces! It's sad you can't be together at Christmas time but hopefully by summer. I agree, it would be too risky for everyone to travel now. Great family photo. I like, too, how you and Aunt Kate are in the photo as well. Trace

Everyone looks great! Love to see their smiling faces. Plus you & Kathy in the corner. It is disappointing to have to cancel your traditional trip for Christmas but I understand it. Hopefully, we will back to "normal" next year...Meanwhile, FadeTime and Zoom are the best options. Thank you for sharing this wonderful family photo!! betsey
